Five Fabulous Ways to Welcome Fall

Five Fabulous Ways to Welcome Fall

Fall is finally here. What better way to usher it in than with a fresh perspective? You see, fall is all about the shedding of the old to make way for the new.

Like the mighty trees that lose their leaves during the latter months of the year, you have the opportunity to let go of old habits to make way for new ones. Best of all, you don’t need to wait until January 1st to ‘turn over a new leaf.’ Today is as good of a day as any!

Give Fall the Warm Reception It Deserves

Fall deserves the warmest welcome party you can give it. There are unique opportunities to be had this season. If you haven’t yet explored what autumn has to offer, start doing so today!

Here are five fabulous ways to welcome fall:

1. Put away the lawn furniture and pool accessories.

Symbolically, it means that it’s the end of summer and time for fall. You can store them away in the shed, pool house, or garage until next year. When you’re ready to pull them out again, you’ll know exactly where to find them.

2. Include fall scents inside the home.

If you burn candles or use wax melts, try fragrances such as apple cinnamon, pumpkin spice or vanilla brown sugar. Each has a distinctly autumn aroma.

3. Pull out the slow cooker.

Allow it to do the hard work for you while you’re on the job or running errands. Fall is the time for soups, stews, and casseroles. Use seasonal ingredients and enjoy having something hot and delicious to come home to.

4. Get ready to layer clothing.

If you’ve put away your cooler weather clothing, it’s time to swap it out with your summer clothes. Give everything a good wash and thoroughly dry to make sure that it looks good and is available to wear when you’re ready for a lightweight sweater, jacket or vest.

5. Enjoy a slower, more mindful pace.

With the kids being out of school during the summer and you trying to squeeze in one more vacation before going back to work for the rest of the year, you’re frenzied. Fall offers a slower way of existing. Take advantage of the rhythm of the season by doing tasks deliberately and with great mindfulness.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to celebrate the things that make the season magical. Take those long walks and bike rides. Spend time raking up leaves and decorating your home with pumpkins and other items from nature such as gourds, acorns, and pinecones. Bake an apple pie or cook a pot of delicious soup.

Let your imagination run wild! Fall is what you make it. It could potentially be the best season you’ve experienced thus far this year!

Fall Has So Much Goodness to Offer You

Say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. You’ve got a lot to look forward to this season. From fantastic weather to the changing color of leaves, autumn has its benefits. With the right spirit, you’ll soak up every minute of the season before winter sets in.
